Expos Top Red Sox, 11-9
Josh Levine had a good game, but he could not keep the Boston Red Sox from falling, 11-9, to the Montreal Expos at Fenway Park. The Boston catcher went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Chad Coon picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Erwin de Leeuw was tagged with the loss. Mike Johnson locked down his 4th save.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 12th inning. With no one out, Frank Vergara hit a 0-1 curveball from Chris Ford for a 2-run single. It put Montreal in front, 10-8.

"Good win for us," said Vergara. "Now we'll focus on the next one."

With the win, Montreal goes to 61-48, while the Red Sox fall to 47-63.
