Myrtle Beach Sweeps into the Round 2
After their 11-10 win today at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark over the Down East Wood Ducks, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans will advance to the Round 2. Myrtle Beach won the series by a 3-0 margin.

Leading the way for the Pelicans was reliever Ken Sansoucie, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Fredericksburg Nationals - Wilmington Blue Rocks series. Wilmington leads the series 2 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
