Long Leads Mets to Win
Led by Ben Long, the New York Mets downed the Cincinnati Reds, 9-2. Long was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double for the Mets. Picking up the win was Chris Randolph. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 7 and walked 0. The Mets raised their record to 68-34.

With no one out in the top of the third, D.J. Winger barreled up a changeup from Gus Martell. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Mets in front, 4-0.
