Burleson Leads Orioles to 6-4 Win Over Red Sox
|
Good production from right fielder Jake Burleson helped the Baltimore Orioles topple the Boston Red Sox, 6-4. Burleson went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Orioles. Eric Tracy earned the win to go to 9-7. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Mike Sharp earned his 22nd save in 24 chances.
Baltimore took the lead on Burleson's 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Josh Jarvis in the top of the seventh, made the score 6-3, Baltimore.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Burleson.
At 46-50, the Orioles find themselves in third place in the American League East Division.
