Dave Bernal recorded the save for New Orleans, his 29th of the season. The Voodoo sit in first place in the American League Central Division with a record of 61-35.
New Orleans took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, shortstop Nelson Morales hit a solo home run that electrified the crowd.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Custer said after the game.
