Voodoo Suffer 2-1 Setback
The New Orleans Voodoo wasted an inspired, 7.2-inning effort from starter Tomas Ramirez, falling 2-1 to the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. Cleveland reliever Jody Culberson picked up the win to move to 2-1. Dave Bernal suffered the loss. Cleveland is 38-51 and New Orleans, with the loss, 58-31.

Cleveland took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, designated hitter Kevin Lafferty hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We'll savor this win," Lafferty told the Cleveland Today, "then get ready for the next game."
