Houston Astros pitcher Andy Miner was in fine form, leading his team past the Washington Nationals, 10-1. The winning pitcher was Miner, now 5-1. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. With the win, the Astros improved to 48-39.
