Expos Beat Orioles, 5-3
|
Oriole Park at Camden Yards was the site of a competitive game between the Baltimore Orioles and Montreal Expos.
Montreal picked up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, toppling the Baltimore Orioles, 5-3. Pitcher Erik Dickman was one of the reasons the Expos triumphed. Dave Blackstone recorded the save for Montreal, his 11th of the season.
Andres del Valle made an early impact for Montreal when he stroked his 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came with one out in the top of the third, put the Expos on top, 5-1.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," del Valle told the Montreal News. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
The Expos saw their record improve to 50-36.
