Rockies Beat Mets 2-1 in Series Opener
The Divisional Series Round got off to a quiet start today, with the traveling Colorado Rockies taking a low-scoring 2-1 win over the host New York Mets. Colorado left-hander Mike Jones was marvelous at Citi Field. The Rockies now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

Both team had trouble scoring runs. So, Eddie Zahrt's at-bat in the top of the eighth was critical. With one out, the Colorado second baseman hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said New York skipper Hunter Smith, "and it cost us."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Citi Field in New York.
