Houston Takes Wild Card Round
|
The Houston Astros and New York Yankees hooked up in a classic Wild Card Round that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Houston heading off to the Divisional Series Round, after a 4-3 win at Minute Maid Park tonight earned the 2-1 series win.
Outside Minute Maid Park, whether they were supporters of Houston or New York, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Chris Dillon played the hero for the Astros in the series, as his MVP performance included a .333 batting average, with a .364 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Houston Astros will play against the Texas Rangers in the next round. Texas had a bye in the Wild Card Round. The Divisional Series Round is scheduled to begin on October 7th , 2039.
