Mets Win to Tie Series with Indians
The Syracuse Mets and the Indianapolis Indians will take the Round 2 to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Mets beat the Indians 3-1 at Victory Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Syracuse left-hander Nazario Clementi had a big role in the win. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 runs.

In the top of the fifth, with Syracuse leading 2-1, left fielder Jose Salazar hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Chris Hart and put the Mets ahead, 3-1.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Clementi.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 25th , 2039 at NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse.
