Sanchez, Storm Wallop Quakes in Game 2 of R1
Lake Elsinore center fielder Juan Sanchez produced all the offense the Storm would need today in the club's 8-2 win over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

Sanchez went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, while Lake Elsinore moved into a tie in the Round 1. The Storm and Quakes are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Rob Richard hit a 2-run double off Bobby King in the top of the second, which put the Storm in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Richard had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Lake Elsinore manager Monte' Reese said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Lake Elsinore Diamond in Lake Elsinore.
