Round 1 Goes the Distance, Greenville Prevails
It took a while, but the Greenville Drive finally disposed of the Columbia Fireflies 3-2 in the series clincher at Segra Park.

Winning the finale gave the Drive the series, 3-2. They will now advance to the Round 2.

The Most Valuable Player Award went to Greenville second baseman Fiorello Tornatore. He batted .308 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 2 runs.

The Greenville Drive don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hickory Crawdads - Lakewood BlueClaws series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
