Extra-Inning Win by Voodoo Over Expos
|
The New Orleans Voodoo beat the Montreal Expos, 6-5. New Orleans pitcher and Otsego, Minnesota, native Tim Whitehead led the way. New Orleans reliever J.J. Leahey picked up the win, raising his record to 5-3. Mike Fenchel was tagged with the loss. With the win over Montreal, the Voodoo improved to 52-24.
In the bottom of the 13th, Erik White had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring single to left off Montreal pitcher Mike Fenchel.
"This place was rocking at the end," White said.
