New York rode a decent outing from starter Anthony Susac to victory over the Washington Nationals. The final score was 5-3. Nader Lugono earned the save for New York, his 2nd of the year. The first-place Mets improved to 46-25.
New York designated hitter Dave Knight gave his club a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded and the Mets trailing 2-1, Knight got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.
"Nice win for us," said Susac. "Now we'll go after the next one."
