Yankees Snatch Late Win
|
New York left fielder Jordan Valencia had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Boston Red Sox, 7-3. New York occupies first place in the American League East Division at 43-27.
At a critical moment for the Yankees, help came from one of their biggest stars. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Robert Puason, who led the AL in RBI with 153 in 2033, hit a 2-run double to put the Yankees up, 4-3. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 2 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Puason.
