Morris Leads Blue Jays to 4-1 Win Over Rangers
|
The performance of Dan Morris proved critical in helping Toronto beat Texas, 4-1. The Blue Jays left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Pat Davis collected his 15th save. The last-place Blue Jays raised their record to 25-41.
Morris brought the fans to their feet in the bottom of the first, when the 26-year old left fielder ripped a 2-run home run. The round-tripper put Toronto ahead, 2-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Toronto manager Scott Lieser. "It's usually not just one thing."
