Rockies Defeat Diamondbacks, 5-2

Colorado and Arizona got after it at Chase Field.
Colorado left fielder Zac Veen made his presence felt in the 5-2 Rockies triumph over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Veen went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Erik Mullins picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 3-3. Mike Catlin got credit for the save for Colorado. It was his 17th of the year.
Veen went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs against the Diamondbacks. In the top of the first inning, he hit a 2-run double that put Colorado in front, 2-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Colorado manager Barret Browning. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Rockies raised their record to 29-31.
