Rangers Surge Past Nationals to Take 1-0 Series Lead
A clutch 9th inning gave the Texas (DSL) Rangers a walk-off win over the Washington (DSL) Nationals and a 1-0 lead in the Round 3 at Texas Rangers Complex today. Young shortstop Josh Kessinger, 22, earned accolades after he was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs.

The game ended with a walk-off solo home run from Kessinger, lifting the Rangers to victory. In the contest, Kessinger was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Kessinger said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."
