The New York Mets got a stellar performance from pitcher Chris Randolph, who handcuffed the Atlanta offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Truist Park. Randolph, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Jeremy Hull, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 14th save.

The Mets grabbed the lead in the top of the third. With two out, Billy Ruiz hit a solo home run off Mike Miller, putting New York in front, 2-0. For Ruiz, it was his 12th home run of the season.

Ruiz called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

New York is now 33-19. Atlanta is 28-25.
