Expos Rally For 10-8 Win
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Miller Park.
The Montreal Expos downed the Milwaukee Brewers, 10-8, at Miller Park. Matt Rose led the way, going 5-for-7 for Montreal. Mike Fenchel, now 1-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings.
Rose had a game-changing home run in the top of the 13th. On a first pitch fastball from Steve Mann, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Expos a 10-8 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Rose.
"The most important thing is that we won," Rose said.
Montreal is now 31-19, Milwaukee 26-25.
