Corpus Christi Hooks starter Bobby Woods turned in a sterling performance against the Frisco RoughRiders, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Their 82-58 record puts the Hooks first in the South Division.

Ron Dye drove in one run for Corpus Christi. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Matt Hardy. It was his 16th RBI of the season.

Dye said his team "played with focus."
