The Threshers grabbed a win, 6-2, at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Daytona pitcher Jon Kramer. Kramer went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Getting the save was Randy Colmenares, his 8th. The Threshers, at 79-60, sit in third place in the FSL North.

In the top of the 3rd, the Threshers grabbed the lead on a two-out single by Tim Skramstad. Clearwater at the time was trailing 2-1, but Skramstad's 2-run single off Beau Beresford put his team in front.

"I still think this team can play even better," Skramstad told the Clearwater Today.
