Shorebirds Beat Cannon Ballers, 2-1

The Delmarva Shorebirds had to overcome a good performance from Kannapolis pitcher Pat Kincaid to claim a 2-1 win at Atrium Health Ballpark. Kincaid went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Willie Romero, 5-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. Delmarva is now riding a 11-game win streak.
An impactful at-bat came in the top of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Ron Bentley, reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, Delmarva, and helped them go on to win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Delmarva manager Kyle Haines. "Our pregame was pretty good."
