Nationals Sting Marlins, 4-2
|
Washington (CMPX) and Miami (CMPX) got after it at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
Washington (CMPX) Nationals starter Nelson Perez was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Miami (CMPX) Marlins, 4-2. Raul Burguet earned the save for Washington (CMPX), his 1st.
Had it not been for Freddie Kelso, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Nationals were trailing 2-1, Kelso hit a 2-run double for Washington (CMPX), giving his team the lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Kelso. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Washington (CMPX) now sits at 22-23, while Miami (CMPX) falls to 26-19.
