New Orleans Hot Streak Continues with 5-1 Win
|
Tomas Ramirez never let the Twins get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his cutter, to pitch the Voodoo to a win, 5-1. Ramirez went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-2. Getting the save was Dave Bernal, his 12th.
Jose Lopez came through for New Orleans when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a two-strike changeup to center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said New Orleans manager Kelvin Cedano.
With the win, New Orleans upped its record to 28-11.
