Orioles Beat Angels, 2-0
|
In a low-scoring contest, Baltimore pitcher Dave Esquivel was marvelous in his team's 2-0 win. Baltimore, at 20-19, sits in 4th place in the American League East Division.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when left fielder Adam Carrier hit a single. The Orioles went on to win.
"The old adage is true," said Carrier. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
