Expos Take 10-2 Pounding
|
Yohann Gil led Boston to a win over Montreal. The final score was 10-2. Gil collected 2 runs batted in, while going 3 for 3 at the plate. The second baseman also scored 2 times. The Red Sox improved to 11-29.
Boston used the timely hitting of Brendan Stogner to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Sox on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We put the pedal to the metal," said Gil.
