Yankees Need Extra Frames to Get Past Diamondbacks
The New York A (DSL) Yankees got a strong performance from pitcher Mike Gillespie, who stymied the Arizona (DSL) offense en route to a win, 2-1, at New York Yankees Complex. New York A (DSL) currently is in last place in the AL Division at 8-32.

In the bottom of the 12th, Alex Mendoza came to bat with the game in the balance. And he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single off Arizona (DSL) pitcher Eddie Cantu.

"Tough game to lose," said Gillespie. "I feel bad for the guys in the other clubhouse. But not that bad."
