Astros Come Up Short at Minnesota, 3-2
The Minnesota Twins did just enough to secure a victory over the Houston Astros, 3-2, at Target Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Jordan Wells. Vinny McFarland closed the door for Minnesota, picking up his 8th save of the year. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Minnesota.

Had Ruben Tristo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Tristo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Twins.

Tristo said his team "played with focus."
