The Columbia Fireflies got a superb performance from pitcher Jamie Donahoe, but the Lexington Legends still won the game, 3-1. Donahoe threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Lexington reliever Jose Villafranco picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jamie Donahoe was saddled with the loss. Lexington is now 24-37, while Columbia is 37-24.

Lexington used a clutch hit from Jose Montero to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Legends ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice win," said Montero. "Not sure what else you want me to say."
