Tourists Pick Up 3-1 Win Over Hickory
|
The 2039 season began for the Hickory Crawdads with a loss to the Asheville Tourists at L.P. Frans Stadium. The final score was 3-1. Asheville pitcher Dante Griffin had a fine performance. Griffin got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Griffin allowed 1 run.
Bert Salinas aided the Asheville cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk.
