Oahu Absorbs 4-2 Loss to San Antonio
Oahu got a decent performance from pitcher Pat Hergenrother, but it wasn't enough to beat the San Antonio Chiles Picantes. San Antonio won the San Antonio Fields contest, 4-2. Hergenrother threw 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Eddie Bartley earned the save, his 5th. San Antonio, at 98-64, occupies second place in the Fire Conference Ruby Division.

Alastair Gilchrist dealt the Paddlers a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and San Antonio leading 1-0, Gilchrist hit a first pitch changeup for a 2-run single.

"Bottom line," said Oahu skipper Zeus L, "we didn't play well enough to win."
