Pirates Black Heading to Round 2 Tuesday, September 2nd , 2025 The Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates Black didn't hold back their excitement after beating the Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates Gold in the Round 1 tonight. Members of the team rushed onto the field and celebrated joyously when the victory became official, with a 8-3 win moving the club on to the Round 2, clinching a 4-1 series win in front of the Pittsburgh Pirates Complex crowd. "This isn't the big one, but of course we need to get through this before we can win a Round 3, so it's an important step," said Daje Morales as he took a break from celebrating. "Our guys are happy and excited to be moving on." Morales was named series MVP, as he hit .429 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 7 runs. On the other side of the diamond, there was desolation. Many members of the Pirates Gold sat stone-faced in their dugouts, simply watching Pittsburgh (DSL) celebrate. The Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates Black don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Houston (DSL) Astros Orange - Miami (DSL) Marlins series.
