Alcantara Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, August 29th , 2025 Salem second baseman Marvin Alcantara has extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with a 2-for-4 day. However, the Lynchburg Hillcats seized the 5-1 victory over the Red Sox at Bank of the James Stadium. "Disappointing," Alcantara said of the outcome. Marvin Alcantara doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 9th. Alcantara has collected 109 hits for the Red Sox this year, 9 of them home runs. He has also netted 48 RBIs and scored 69 runs while batting .275. |
