Ethan Long Drills 3 HR in One Game

Lake Elsinore Storm first baseman Ethan Long left the Inland Empire pitching staff in ruins at Lake Elsinore Diamond, beating the 66ers, 15-3, with a prodigious three-home run performance.
"The last one was totally unexpected," Long told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three."
For the game, the Lake Elsinore first baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 4 runs.
Ethan Long hit a three-run home run off Aidan Haugh in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Marco Vega in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Darlyn De La Cruz in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
This year, Long has socked 105 hits in 370 at-bats for a .284 average with 46 home runs. He is getting on base at a .412 pace and his totals also include 98 RBIs and 80 runs scored.
