Espinoza Wins MWL Batter of the Month Friday, August 1st , 2025 Leonel Espinoza made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the Midwest League this past month. The South Bend Cubs shortstop shined through the month of July and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 22-year-old hit .324 with 10 home runs, 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This year, Espinoza is hitting .288 with 29 home runs and 69 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .392 clip and scored 49 runs. |
