Troy Johnston discovered that today at 121 Financial Park, as he smashed three home runs during the 18-6 Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp win over the Gwinnett Stripers. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Jacksonville left fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Johnston, who is tied for 9th in the with a .323 batting average, finished the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats and 7 RBIs. Troy Johnston hit a two-run home run off Hurston Waldrep in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Anthony Vizcaya in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Anthony Vizcaya in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and walked in a run in the 8th. So far this year, Johnston is batting .323 with 14 home runs, 68 RBIs and 53 runs scored. |
