The Chicago Cubs earned a win at Globe Life Field, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 2-0. On the bump for Chicago was right-hander Cade Horton. He had a starring role in the triumph. Horton picked up the win for Chicago, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. Now 11-16, the Rangers have not played well this season.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when right fielder Owen Caissie hit a double. The Cubs went on to win.

Caissie attributed the win to his team's "dogged determination."
