Astros Jolt Mets, 5-4, with Late Rally
|
The 5-4 Houston win over New York was due in large part to Kyle Tucker. The Astros left fielder was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Aaron Brown got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Bryan Abreu earned save number 3 this season.
Houston took the lead, 5-4, on Trey Cabbage's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off New York pitcher Christian Scott in the bottom of the eighth.
"Both teams played hard," said Houston manager Doug Mientkiewicz.
New York now has a record of 11-8.
