The Cincinnati Reds grabbed a win, 8-4, over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Cincinnati third baseman Elly De La Cruz was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Alexis Diaz earned the save, his 1st, for the Reds.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Will Benson? The Cincinnati right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reds on top, 6-2. For the game, Benson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said De La Cruz.

The Reds, now 9-2, have hit the ground running this season.
