Giants Sneak By Nationals, 7-6
|
The San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals put on quite a show.
Zac Veen impressed in the 7-6 San Francisco win over Washington. Veen was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The Nationals fall to 4-7 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2027 season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when San Francisco center fielder Myles Straw, facing Ryan Fernandez, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Giants the 7-6 win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Veen said, "and we're having fun right now."
