Big Day for García as Rangers Down Angels, 8-5
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Los Angeles Angels.
The Texas Rangers downed the Los Angeles Angels, 8-5. The hitting star was right fielder Adolis García. García went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Rangers. Texas sits at 7-4 in the early going.
Nathaniel Lowe had a big 2-run home run for the Rangers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Texas trailing 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher JR Ritchie and swatted a home run to center. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 4-3.
"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Los Angeles manager MIguel Del Castillo.
