Milwaukee Gets 8-1 Win
The Milwaukee Brewers trumped the Cincinnati Reds, 8-1, at Great American Ball Park. Milwaukee shortstop Joey Ortiz was terrific. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Carlos Rodriguez, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 6 and walking 3. The loss makes Cincinnati 6-5.

Milwaukee used the hitting of Jake Burger to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Brewers on top, 2-0. For the game, Burger had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Brewers manager Skip Ames, "I like our chances."
