Twins Score Late to Win, 5-2

The Texas Rangers got a superb performance from pitcher Dane Dunning, but the Minnesota Twins still won the game, 5-2. Dunning threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Jhoan Duran earned his 23rd save, after closing out the game. With the win, Minnesota goes to 54-67, while the Rangers fall to 53-69.
Minnesota used the timely hitting of Christian Vázquez to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Twins on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Vázquez.
