Pirates Get Clutch Win Versus Colorado
The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Colorado Rockies, 4-3, in National League action at Colorado Field. Pittsburgh pitcher Paul Skenes had a standout performance. Pittsburgh reliever Mike Burrows picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Case Williams was tagged with the loss. The last-place Pirates now sit at 45-60.

Liover Peguero had a direct impact on the outcome. Peguero contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 4-2.

"Paul pitched like a champ," said Pittsburgh manager Joey Cora.
