The New York A (DSL) Yankees 1 didn't hold back their excitement after beating the Texas (DSL) Rangers Red in the Round 2 tonight.

Members of the team rushed onto the field and celebrated joyously when the victory became official, with a 11-7 win moving the club on to the Round 3, clinching a 4-1 series win in front of the Academia de Prospecto Complex crowd.

"This isn't the big one, but of course we need to get through this before we can win a Round 3, so it's an important step," said Engelth Urena as he took a break from celebrating. "Our guys are happy and excited to be moving on."

Urena was named series MVP, as he hit .500 with a .520 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs.

On the other side of the diamond, there was desolation. Many members of the Rangers Red sat stone-faced in their dugouts, simply watching New York A (DSL) celebrate.

The New York A (DSL) Yankees 1 don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Texas (DSL) Rangers Blue - New York A (DSL) Bombers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
