Sergio del Rio exploded for a barrage of base hits at Surprise Stadium.

The Kansas City (ACL) third baseman had a field day in his team's 28-3 triumph over the Colorado (ACL) Rockies, finishing 5-for-5.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

del Rio must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Sergio del Rio hit an RBI single in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 6th.
