Seattle picked up a win at T-Mobile Park, bumping off the Philadelphia Phillies, 2-1. Pitcher Bryce Miller was a major reason the Mariners emerged victorious. The winner was Matt Brash in relief. His record improves to 3-1. John Schreiber took the loss. Picking up his 1st save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Gregory Santos.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Luis Urias came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Philadelphia pitcher John Schreiber, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Seattle on top, 2-1.

"Bryce did a nice job," said Mariners manager Chip Hale.

The Phillies drop to 14-18, as their stumbling start to the 2026 season continues.
