Players Suspended in Buzz-Sparks Donnybrook Thursday, August 22nd , 2086 After an intense confrontation, both the Buzz Jeff Orman and the Sparks Ricardo Baizan were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Rochester-Havre game. Jeff Orman will miss 5 games, while Ricardo Baizan was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jeff Orman commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season Orman is batting .177 with no home runs. This year in 13 starts, Baizan has recorded 6 wins and absorbed 2 losses. He has pitched 82.2 innings, allowed 80 hits, struck out 66 and has a 3.70 ERA. |
